About Black Lion

The historic Bull Hotel is the centrepiece of the longest high street in East Anglia. Built in 1450, and an inn since 1570, The Bull is rich in original detail, with oak beams everywhere, and a beautiful Elizabethan fireplace in the lounge.

The Cordell Restaurant serves the finest cuisine amongst antique carvings. An excellent bar menu, together with cask ales and a fine selection of wines by the glass are available in the Reeves Bar.

23 en-suite bedrooms and 2 separate suites are all beautifully decorated with every comfort you would expect. There are three meeting and conference rooms for up to 60 people. The hotel is licensed for Civil Ceremonies.

The Crown Hotel is a family-run freehouse and we offer a warm welcome to all guests.

Our 14 en-suite bedrooms boast contemporary comforts, such as crisp bed linen, power showers, flatscreen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and luxe toiletries.

The restaurant at The Crown Hotel offers an indulgent, mouthwatering, seasonal menu that changes daily and is cooked using only fresh ingredients by the acclaimed chef.

As a freehouse, we have the luxury of offering a fine selection of premium beers, together with regularly changing real ales at the bar, where snacks and sandwiches are also available.

A traditional inn with 14 ensuite bedrooms. We pride ourself on the warmth of our welcome to all guests and 'regulars'.

Chef Tim's food is fantastic, traditional English style fayre and the bar is as popular with locals as it is with visitors. Almost uniquely to Long Melford, we offer live entertainment throughout the year for your enjoyment.

There is ample parking at the rear and a large garden as well as a huge patio area with an equally huge, heated parasol.

A quick pint, a family get together or a week's holiday - whatever the occasion, we look forward to welcoming you!

There are three comfortable Chalets with en-suite facilities, tea/coffee, freeview TV and a sheltered patio area outside. Well behaved dogs welcome.

Above the Inn there is a large Family Room - 2 Twin Rooms and 1 Single with shared bathroom facilities.

You can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome and you have the option of B+B or room only rates. A real open fire can be enjoyed in the winter months and a pretty garden in the summer.
