New Sudbury and District Loyalty Scheme launched
Wednesday, 14 of July, 2010
On Wednesday, July 14 the new Sudbury and District Loyalty Card will be launched with a reception for members of the scheme at Waitrose in Sudbury.
Local traders from Sudbury, Long Melford and nearby villages have joined this Reward Scheme which is designed to bring benefits to their regular customers. Around 30 different traders have signed-up for the scheme, which offers a range of discounts and free gifts. Among the traders are a greengrocer, jewellers, bookshop, insurance company, local department store, menswear shop, drinks supplier, music store, t.v. and sound system retailer and a golf club. Members of the scheme are independent traders who offer quality goods and service to their customers. Initial funding for the scheme has been provided by Waitrose Sudbury and Sudbury Town Council, and this has provided the first 1,000 loyalty cards. It is expected that the Mayor of Sudbury, Cllr Peter Goodchild, in launching the scheme at Waitrose on Wednesday, will purchase the first card. Cards, priced at only £1 each, will go on sale the next day at each of the traders who have joined the scheme. They will display a burgundy red membership card in their windows to make it easy for customers to identify traders who offer special deals to people carrying the loyalty card.
