The Long Melford Parish Plan
January 2007: The Main work of the Parish Plan is now complete.
A summary report has been written and delivered to (we hope) all the households and businesses in Long Melford. It is available (free of charge) from the Parish Council office at Brinkleys, Hall Street Long Melford, phone 01787 378084
A full report has been written and printed. It is being distributed to the Parish Council, with copies to council departments and other agencies whose decisions affect the village. It is also available (cost £5) to members of the public.
The report is supplemented by a CD containing many of the computer files of working papers generated during the project. The CD is included with the main report, but can also be purchased separately (cost £1.50). Copies of any of these documents can be obtained from the Parish Clerk, Mrs Linda Goodban, 01787 378084.
The next stage we hope will be an 'action plan' to actually do something about the ideas and suggestions that came up in the surveys. There is a proposed action plan in the last four pages of the main report referred to above. It is available as a separate document (in .html format) on this site. Paper copies can also be obtained from the Parish Council office.
This site is organised in sections :
Reports (the final reports and supporting papers)
Who were the team and how were they organised
How we set out to make the plan cover the whole parish
emails addressed to <ideas@melforward.org.uk> will be circulated to all members of the Steering Group.
NB From the point of view of Privacy Protection, personal information (such as names and email addresses) collected for this Parish Plan will not be used for any other purpose, and will not be disclosed to third parties in any form.
