Colne Philharmonic Society, the orchestra for Colchester.

Gordon Pullin, Artistic Director of the Long Melford Music Society, and tenor voice has his own site.

Ipswich Bach Choir, two major concerts a year, in early December and just before Easter.

Ipswich Gilbert and Sullivan Society perform charity concerts through the first few months of the year and then have a full stage performance in November.

Lavenham Sinfonia, the distinguished orchestra of our neighbouring village.

Saffron Walden Choral Society is the third-oldest continuous choral society in the country, with over 100 members.

Sudbury Choral Society has been going for more than 50 years. They have two main concerts and a Christmas celebration each year. Rehearsals on Mondays.

Sudbury Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marianne Olyver, has more than 50 permanent members, practices one evening a week on Thursdays, has a further practice weekend in July, and gives four or five concerts each year.

Sudbury Festival of Music, Speech & Dance is a competitive festival open to people of all ages from under five to over eighty.  It gives an opportunity for people to perform, as a soloist or as part of a group, in front of a sympathetic audience and to receive an expert and friendly assessment from a professional adjudicator.

Suffolk Villages Festival is held in August each year, with wonderful performances of early English music, mainly in the churches of Stoke by Nayland, Boxford and Hadleigh. There is also a series of four winter concerts in October, December, March and May.

Trianon Music Group is a non-professional symphony orchestra and choir of more than 200 regularly performing members, based in Ipswich, Suffolk. They perform three major concerts each year (January, April and September) at venues such as Ipswich Corn Exchange and Snape Maltings Concert Hall. Smaller groups of members also take part in community concerts across the region, helping to raise funds for churches and other charities. reg.charity no.276715

Trinity Singers of Long Melford, who give three concerts a year in Holy Trinity Church.

ZUM; an amazing group who play argentinian and other tango and jazz music, mainly on classical instruments. They gave a concert at Long Melford in 2005 which was very exciting and a delight to listen to.
