David is widowed with 2 grown-up children and two grandchildren. He has a Cambridge degree in physics and worked for 31 years in the international telecommunications industry. He is now drawing a pension but still working as an independent consultant. Although born in South Wales he has spent most of his life in Eastern England and now lives in Long Melford with his partner, Linda Goodban.
He has always been an active and committed member of the Church, and is now sacristan, bell ringer and steeple-keeper at Holy Trinity church, as well as on the PCC and Sudbury Deanery Synod.
His other activities include being vice-chair of the Community Association, cycling and maintaining the Long Melford Christmas lights.
