John Watts is married to Pauline, they have two grown up daughters and two grandchildren.  He was in education for 39 years and taught in Sudbury for ten years.  He was head of Heathlands Primary School, West Bergholt, for over 14 years until he retired in August 2009.  John is currently vice chair of governors at Glemsford Primary School and works as an associate tutor for Anglia Ruskin University.  John is interested in local politics and has lived in Long Melford since 1984, he served previously as a parish councillor for 8 years.
