 • WHO ARE EACH AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
We care for children (as well as their families) with life limiting conditions. This means they are likely to die before reaching adulthood.

We provide respite and palliative care as well as bereavement support 24 hours a day, every day, taking some of the pressure off parents as well as other family members, and comforting them at the most difficult of times.

• HOW MANY HOSPICES DO EACH HAVE AND WHERE ARE THEY?
We have 3 hospices : at Ipswich, Quidenham in Norfolk and Milton near Cambridge.

• HOW MANY CHILDREN DO EACH CARE FOR EACH YEAR?
Currently, some 270 terminally ill children and their families are being cared for at the hospices with increasing numbers being looked after in their own homes through our community nurses and outreach support.

• HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RUN EACH AND IS THERE A CHARGE TO THE FAMILIES?
No charge is made to those using our services.

In 2003/04 alone it will cost over £4m to run the 3 hospices, with only 25% of our income coming through central and local government sources.

HELP AND SUPPORT FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY IS OBVIOUSLY CRITICAL TO OUR ONGOING WORK

TO ASSIST WITH FUNDRAISING EFFORTS IN YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY WE ARE LOOKING FOR EACH FRIENDS GROUPS

WHAT IS AN EACH FRIENDS GROUP?
A group of people getting together on a regular basis, having some fun and raising revenue and awareness for local terminally ill children.

Events are organised, collections are made and fundraising ideas are born.
