The Building

The Posting House Pottery is attached to The Posting House in Hall Street, Long Melford. The house dates back to the 15th century, and the pottery is in an outbuilding that 150 years ago used to be a saddlery and cartage business.

shop entrance from the yardYou enter through an archway and down a small enclosed yard between Landers Bookshop and Lemon Lilly's ladies' shoe shop. At the end of the yard is the shop, with our own and our friends' products on view. The pottery workshop is beyond the sales area, and can be viewed through a hatchway in the shop.
