Other Potter's Work for sale
In addition to our own work, we sell pieces from three other potteries. They are close friends of ours, and have influenced us in several ways. They have all been making pots for a living for twenty years or more.
They are :
Brookhouse
Pottery
David and Margaret Frith work in Denbigh, North Wales, and produce an outstanding range of decorative and functional pieces in reduction-fired stoneware and porcelain.
The Brookhouse Pottery website is worth a visit, or phone 01745 812805.
JCJ
Pottery
Jonathan Chiswell Jones works in Sussex. Recently he moved his studio to Peelings Manor Barns, close to Pevensey. (phone 01323 469009)
His pots are made in porcelain. The designs are put on with a brush, and covered with a transparent overglaze. His work is unusual in that it is fired only once, as he is able to decorate on unfired clay.
Kersey
Pottery
This shows a selection of the work of Fred Bramham and Dorothy Gorst, who run the pottery at Kersey village, about 15 miles from Long Melford. (phone 01473 822092)
The glaze finish is outstanding; much of it achieved with "Shino" glazes fired at an extremely high temperature.
